The surfaces ranged from concrete flatwork to vinyl siding, a brick front entryway, and a wood porch ceiling area — so the job called for a few different approaches.

The driveway cleaning came first. The concrete had the algae and staining buildup you see on Canton slabs that sit in partial shade, and the curb line had its own layer of road grime.

We ran a surface cleaner across the driveway, then worked the curb with a dedicated linear pass to pull the edge staining. The before-and-after difference on the driveway is visible in the photos: the slab goes from a blotchy, darkened surface back to a consistent light grey.

The concrete sidewalk and patio were next. Both had algae and dirt ground into the surface, including along the patio edges where runoff tends to concentrate. Our process:

The house soft wash covered the vinyl siding on all elevations, the brick front entryway columns, and the porch ceiling and soffit areas. Vinyl and brick need different chemistry concentrations, so each material got its own treatment.

The vinyl got a sodium-hypochlorite mix with surfactant applied at low pressure, bottom-up, with a timed dwell to knock out the algae before rinsing.

The brick got a lighter mix with a longer dwell, keeping pressure well below the threshold that can work into mortar joints.
